Project Information
The Brief:Self-initiated exploration asking what happens when basketball meets tennis. Create a multi-sport concept for athletes who don't stay in one lane.
The Approach:
Went fully analog on this one. Printed images of basketball hoops, courts, rims, tennis balls, nets, rackets. Then came the scissors. Hours of cutting and arranging, creating physical collages where both sports blur into one visual language. I tore actual PUMA branding and worked it into the mix, giving it that raw, handmade texture. The "ONLY THE STRONG" placed graphic anchors everything. This wasn't about being precious. It was about discovery. Letting the physical process guide the design. The accidents became features. The overlaps created new meanings. That's the human touch you can't plan digitally.
The Impact:This print breaks category boundaries completely. The hand-cut aesthetic gives digital printing an organic soul that resonates. Basketball loved it. Tennis wanted it. Both saw themselves in it without losing their identity. Best part? This came from asking "what if?" instead of waiting for a brief. Sometimes the best ideas come from playing without permission.
Key Deliverables:All-over print design • Placed graphics • Physical collage process • Multi-sport visual system
